Oh wow... Your fics are always lovely, of course, but this is especially wonderful. It's such a refreshing take on the future of America where I'm used reading so much dome and gloom it isn't even funny... (What is it with writers and the idea of Alfred failing these days?)

But this was really a pleasure to read. You have America down pat. He's brighter then most give him credit for. He just tends to be stubborn, at times. He has a duality, I feel where part of him loves the idea of new things while the other part of him doesn't want to betray tradition. (Liberal vs. conservative values would be an interesting idea to play with in regards to his psyche, but that's just me ^^; ) England was the right blend of strict with that touch of dry humor and genuine concern laced in his words. It was perfect. The dialogue between them seemed very natural, something many otherwise great stories lose in an effort to make their arguing funnier.

Again thank you for sharing your fic. And I will totally support the idea of follow up story involving what happened after the speech was written. >>;;;;
