Hetalia Sunshine - a note on assignments and how matches are made

Hi, everyone!

Sorry for spamming you, but we've received a few requests to switch assignments and I wanted to address that. It may seem like a small matter but unfortunately there's just no way to do it. Among other things, it wouldn't be fair to ask someone to give up their assignment, especially if they're already planning it. (Yes, some people really do work that fast!)

If you don't like your assignment, there are two options:
- let us know you're dropping out
- let us know you need a pinch hitter and that you, in turn, will be one of the pinch hitters at the top of the list

I'm sincerely sorry that I can't do more. I don't know if it would help to know about the match-up process, but if you want to hear about it for whatever reason, ( read on: )

2010 Hetalia Sunshine - Assignments Sent + Deadline Clarification

All assignments for the 2010 round of Hetalia Sunshine have now been sent out!

We only got one bounce-back this time. Would the following participant please email us at hetalia.sunshine [at] gmail:

The rest of you hopefully have your assignments now. If you don't, first please check your spam filter; last year we had a few get caught in those. If you still don't see it there, please send an email to hetalia.sunshine [at] gmail with the subject line: ASSIGNMENT NOT RECEIVED - [your lj username]. In the body of the email, please mention that you already checked your spam filter, as that's the first thing we'll ask if we don't know you already tried it. Letting us know will save a little back and forth. ;)

Switching gears: you'll see that the deadline given in the email is the same as that originally posted, August 20th. I did say I was going to move it, but after giving it further consideration I've decided not to do that. The dates for this year were chosen very carefully and I'd like to keep them the same if at all possible. I know it seems unfair that you've lost a week of writing/drawing time but when I looked at last year's timeline, I realized we only had a 5 week filling period. So maybe you could think of having 7 weeks instead of 8 this year as an automatic 2-week extension? (Hopeful Miaou is hopeful...) If it turns out that 7 weeks isn't enough in the end and you really do need the full two months, we can give you an extension. All we ask is that you do your best! ♥
