Definitely not! Heck, America-the-character isn't a hamburger-eating idiot. Well, not all of the time. I'm firmly of the belief that it isn't that America's not smart, it's that the dear boy doesn't always think things through as well as he could.
YEAH, ENGLAND IS SURE BEING /SUBTLE/ THERE. He's still half-afraid that America's going to walk up and leave or get distracted by something newer and cooler -- the two of them have only been together-together for about a month now in the timeline I'm working in, and there's lots of things they still have to sort out.
