It does seem that the Nations have an underlying connection to their respective physical lands. And them having affinities with animals does make sense, since they had no one else to rely to when they were 'born'. They always seem to pop out in some dense grassland and/or forest, all by their vulnerable lonesome. It makes for an interesting discussion!
